Acupuncture

Acupuncture is one form of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). TCM has been used for over 4,000 years and has been meticulously documented. Acupuncture is well known for pain management but it is part of the complete medical system of TCM that treats all medical conditions. TCM incorporates herbalism, nutrition, massage and meditation. Acupuncture has a unique function in cancer care, women’s health (including support for infertility), and pain relief.

Dr. Sonia uses high-grade sterile needles that are never re-used. These needles are roughly the same size or smaller than a strand of hair. The number of needles used depends on the condition being treated and the vitality of the individual. Generally, needles remain in place between 15-45 minutes. Cupping and electro-acupuncture are also available.
